I.     ARE YOU SURE YOU HAVE EXERCISED FAITH IN GOD?
        A.  It is by faith that we are saved.                                                                      Acts 16.31

I.        WHAT PEOPLE WORSHIP
Romans 1:19-23  (NKJV) “ because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown itto them. ²⁰ For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, ²¹ because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. ²² Professing to be wise, they became fools, ²³ and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man—and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things.”

A. Murder begins in the heart. Matthew 5:21 (NKJV) 21 “You have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not murder,[a] and whoever murders will be in danger of the judgment.’
Adultery begins in the heart. Matthew 5:28 (NKJV) 28 But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

B. You think evil in your hearts.
Matthew 9:4 (NKJV) 4 But Jesus, knowing their thoughts, said, “Why do you think evil in your hearts?


C. Evil comes from the Heart

I. HUMILITY

A. Jesus was
Philippians 2:5-8 (NKJV) 5 Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, 6 who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, 7 but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. 8 And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.

John 13:12-17 (NKJV) 12 So when He had washed their feet, taken His garments, and sat down again, He said to them, “Do you know what I have done to you? 13 You call Me Teacher and Lord, and you say well, for so I am. 14 If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet. 15 For I have given you an example, that you should do as I have done to you. 16 Most assuredly, I say to you, a servant is not greater than his master; nor is he who is sent greater than he who sent him. 17 If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them.
